Our sessions
All HAFWAY sessions are free to attend, with complimentary drinks and snacks available at every session. A free hot meal is also provided at selected sessions.
To take part, young people must complete a registration form. This can be completed in advance online (here) or when attending a session for the first time.
Please note that some sessions are not open access and must be booked in advance due to limited spaces. Details of any booking requirements can be found below.


BEYOND Youth Club
AGE: School Years 5-7
VENUE: The HAFWAY Hub
WHEN: Mondays 3:30-5pm
Beyond is for older primary and younger secondary school students, helping support the transition into high school in a safe, welcoming and relaxed environment.
The session is open access and includes all the usual youth club activities alongside sports, crafts and baking. Young people have the opportunity to make friends, build confidence and develop a sense of belonging. Free drinks and snacks are provided.

AFTER SCHOOL Seniors
AGE: School Years 10-11
VENUE: the HAFWAY Hub
WHEN: Tuesdays 3:30-5:30pm
Our Seniors Afterschool Club is designed for young people in Years 10 and 11, offering a more relaxed and quieter space after the school day.
Young people can enjoy all the usual youth club activities while also having the opportunity to study, unwind and spend time talking with our youth workers in a supportive environment. Free drinks and snacks are provided.

AFTER SCHOOL Sports
AGE: School Years 7+
VENUE: the HAFWAY Hub
WHEN: Wednesdays 3:30-5pm
Our Sports Club is a fun, active after school session where young people can take part in a range of sports, build friendships and unwind after the school day.
The sessions provide a safe and welcoming space where young people can stay active, grow in confidence and enjoy spending time together through positive activities and teamwork. Free drinks and snacks are provided.

AFTER SCHOOL Girls Sports
AGE: School Years 7+
VENUE: the HAFWAY Hub
WHEN: Thursdays 3:30pm-5pm
Our Girls Sports Club is a fun and welcoming after school session designed to help girls stay active, build confidence and enjoy sport in a supportive environment. Young people can take part in a variety of activities, develop new skills and spend time with friends while building teamwork, resilience and self-belief.
The sessions create a safe space where girls can try new things, have fun and feel encouraged to take part at their own pace. Free drinks and snacks are provided.

LIMITLESS session
AGE: School Years 12+
VENUE: the HAFWAY Hub
WHEN: Thursdays 7pm-9pm
Limitless is designed for older young people, providing a supportive space to prepare for adulthood while still having fun and building positive relationships.
The sessions explore important life skills such as budgeting, cooking, independence and wellbeing, helping young people grow in confidence and feel more prepared for the future. Alongside this young people can also enjoy sports, baking, games, trips and other fun experiences in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Free drinks and snacks available.

YOUTH CLUB
AGE: School Years 7+
VENUE: the HAFWAY Hub
WHEN: Fridays 6pm - 9pm
Our Friday Youth Club Session gives young people a safe and welcoming place to spend their Friday nights, with all the usual youth club activities alongside a different planned activity each week.
From dodgeball, quizzes and karaoke to challenge nights and team activities, the sessions are designed to be fun, engaging and bring young people together. Alongside the activities, young people can relax, socialise and build positive relationships with friends and youth workers in a supportive environment.
A free, hot cooked meal is provided each week.

Duke of Edinburgh Award
AGE: School Years 9+
VENUE: the HAFWAY Hub
WHEN: Sundays 4pm - 6pm
Our Duke of Edinburgh sessions help young people develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and independence while working towards their Bronze, Silver, or Gold Award. We provide guidance at every stage of the journey, from getting started and choosing activities to completing sections and recording progress.
Young people also receive practical expedition training, including navigation, campcraft, route planning, safety, and teamwork. Through encouragement, support, and hands-on learning, we help young people challenge themselves, discover their strengths, and achieve something they can be proud of.

BROWNLOW Sports Club
AGE: School Years 5-13
VENUE: Brownlow Fold Community Centre
WHEN: Mondays 6:30-8:30pm
Brownlow is a sports-based session where young people can take part in activities including football, badminton and table tennis. There is also space to unwind, play card games and spend time with friends.
The session helps young people stay active, build confidence and develop positive relationships through teamwork, conversation and shared activities. Free drinks and snacks are provided.

COOKING & BAKING club
AGE: School Years 8+
VENUE: the HAFWAY Hub
WHEN: Tuesdays 6:30pm-9pm
Our cooking and baking session runs a rolling 10 week programme and must be booked onto in advance (see below).
These sessions give young people the chance to learn practical life skills in a fun, relaxed and supportive environment. From preparing meals to trying new recipes, young people build confidence, independence and teamwork while spending time together in a safe and welcoming space.

STUDY SUPPORT
AGE: School Years 11+
VENUE: the HAFWAY Hub
WHEN: Wednesdays 6:30pm-9pm
Our Study Support sessions provide young people with a calm, supportive space to focus on schoolwork and build confidence in their learning.
Alongside independent study time, young people can access support in specific subjects from staff and volunteers, helping them work through challenges, prepare for exams and develop positive study habits. Free drinks and snacks are provided.

GIRLS ACTIVITY CLUB
AGE: School Years 7+
VENUE: the HAFWAY Hub
WHEN: Thursdays 5pm-6:30pm
From baking, crafts and sports to trips, games and creative activities, these sessions are dedicated to giving girls the opportunity to try new things, make friendships and enjoy time together in a safe and encouraging environment.
There is also space to talk, access support and build positive relationships with youth workers and other young people. A free hot cooked meal is provided at each session which the young people can choose to help cook.

AFTER SCHOOL Friday club
AGE: School Years 7+
VENUE: the HAFWAY Hub
WHEN: Fridays 3:30pm - 6pm
Friday Club is one of HAFWAY’s busiest and most energetic sessions, regularly welcoming over 100 young people each week.
This session offers a safe, exciting space where young people can relax, socialise and enjoy a wide range of activities including sports, pool, gaming consoles, table games and time to chat with friends and youth workers. Free toast and refreshments are provided, helping create a warm and welcoming atmosphere at the end of the school week.

COMMUNITY PROJECTS
AGE: Dependent on activity

WHEN: Saturday - varying times
Our Community Project sessions give young people the opportunity to make a positive difference in their local area. Activities include litter picks, planting and environmental projects, fundraising events, sponsored challenges, and community improvement initiatives. Through hands-on involvement, young people develop teamwork, confidence, and a sense of pride in helping their community thrive.

PASSPORT TO LIFE
AGE: School Years 7+
VENUE: the HAFWAY Hub
WHEN: Sundays 6:30pm - 9pm
Passport to Life offers all the things young people enjoy about a youth club, including games, activities, challenges, and time to socialise in a safe and supportive environment.
Alongside the activities, we explore important life topics through engaging discussions and workshops. Subjects may include managing worries and anxiety, aspirations and future goals, healthy relationships, addiction awareness, wellbeing, confidence, and making positive choices.
By creating a space where young people feel comfortable, heard, and valued, Passport to Life helps them build practical life skills, strengthen resilience, and grow in confidence.
